October 7th Events

🙏🏼
Participate in an evening of unity and song at Shuvi L’Beitecha (October 7) - Come to the First Station at 9pm for the opportunity to collectively sing and pray with your Jerusalem community. Together, we’ll sing with the ideas of Teshuva and Shvut - of the Hostages back safely to Israel, of the internal refugees to their homes, and of our Chayalim to their normal lives - at the forefront of minds. For more details, click here.
Bear witness at the StandWithUs “Faces of October 7” Exhibition (Open through October 30) - Benzi Broffman, the critically acclaimed “Banksy of Israel” was working right outside of the Nova Festival just a few hours before the attacks of October 7 began. Since that fateful day, Broffman has dedicated his art to the memory of the fallen, and towards raising awareness of the hostages still held in Gaza. He has created a truly moving multimedia exhibit that encompasses the tragedy of October 7, and provides us with an outlet for mourning and remembrance. This event has limited spots, so we recommend you book a slot as soon as possible.
Pay your respects at the October 7 memorial in Jerusalem - Standing across from the National Library is the newly placed monument, which pays tribute to the victims of Hamas’ October 7 massacre, and the IDF soldiers who have fallen in the ensuing war. Read out the names of the victims and recite the “Nachem” prayer inscribed on this beautifully heartbreaking iron sculpture.

Az Nashir - Women’s Event (October 9) - The Shivili Center has put together a beautiful book of prayers written by Women of the War. With tefillot written by Israeli women from all over the country, each impacted by the war in her own way, Az Nashir is a book that celebrates the resilience of Jewish Women, and the beauty behind each of our conversations with HaShem. The event, which will be held at the Nefesh B’Nefesh Aliyah Campus in Cinema City, will also feature a concert with Nina Tokayer (from YoNina), and is sure to be an inspiring night. Note that this event is for women only. Grab your tickets and pre-order your copy of “Az Nashir: We Will Sing Again” here.
Daven out in the Jerusalem air at Adon HaSelichot - Outdoor Selichot at Kikar Safra (October 10) - Featuring musical guests like Yuval Dayan and the Jerusalem Orchestra, join your fellow Jerusalemite in a traditional recitation of musical Selichot overlooking the Old City walls. Reserve tickets for this beautiful tefillah concert today.
Commemorate the talents of a fallen soldier at “Kuma: The Art of Eitan Rozensweig” (open through Dec 31) - The Bible Lands Museum is hosting an art exhibit of Eitan Rozensweig’s z’l artwork. Eitan was an Israeli Chayal who fell in battle in Gaza this past November. Eitan’s tremendous artistic talent was rooted in his deep interest in consciousness, and his connection to the Jewish destiny. Honor Eitan with a visit to this extraordinary exhibit.
